Places like USA Transfers could pick you up with a large van (how many are you) for between 100-$150 round trip

Taxis will hold 4 and cost 300-400 pesos each way (300 pesos frm PDC)

Colectivos will cost 40 pesos each way pp from Playa but with large groups, you will likely need to take a few

How about the ADO?

ADO does not stop at Akumal, closest is Tulum, then a 10 minute taxi back

Mayab buses does but it runs on its own schedule and you may not get a return ride

Do the colectivos charge per person? I would assume so but how about children?

Anyone that takes up a seat is about 40 pesos per person each way in a colectivo
