This is a silly question, but for anyone who has been there recently, are there mini-fridges in the rooms? If so, what do they contain?

Thanks guys!

I haven't been there yet... but I'm going soon to Viva Wyndham Maya. From what I've read of the reviews and posts here, I don't think there are room fridges, but they stock the rooms with bottled water.

Hope that answers your question... someone who's been recently could prove me wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's what I've read.

The mini-fridge at the Viva Maya are usually stocked with bottle water, cans of soda (pepsi) and usually 2 or 3 bottles of beer (Dos XX).

Are the in room fridges included in the all-inclusive price, or is there an additional charge for anything consumed?

Thanks

J

No, we had a fridge with water, and a few beers at no charge - and we booked with Travelocity. But we were so close to the beach/pool bar that a fridge was not needed at all.

Hi blakebowyer- We had a mini fridge that was kept stocked with water, pop, beer and juice. We did not pay extra and did not book through the hotel but through Priceline. Make sure you sign up for the Wyndham rewards program. It is free and they upgraded our room to a beach front. Have a great trip!

We have been to the Maya and the Azteca and both had fully stocked mini fridges and coffee pots as well. If you leave a note they will leave you specifically what you ask for. In our case, "mas cerveza, aqua, y pepsi light por favor." Of course throw in a few dollars as well. They also had juice. On the fridge at the Azteca it said there was a charge for soda, beer, and juice, but we weren't charged for any of it.

From what I have read the fridges are stocked to matter who you book with. I will be there from Jan 20-27. Anyone know if they have decaf coffee? Another silly question.

Yes, they have decaf coffee in the room. I'm not sure about at the restaurants, but I"m guessing they do since it is in the room.
