booked there on the recommendation of my travel agent for the end of march '06. am looking for any helpful info from recent visitors....which room to request......where to dine....how far to the beach..etc. and did someone say disco? thanks for the input

We were at the Del Mar during Christmas week. We wanted a building half way between the beach and lobby area. We asked for building 14 or 15 and were put in building 15. It was a great location. Easy access to the pool. It is about a quatter mile from the beach to the lobby and restaurant are.

MAKE YOU ALA CARTE RESTAUTANT RESERVATIONS AS SOON AS YOU GET THERE. There is a desk in the lobby to do this. You will get three ala carte reservations for a seven night stay.
