any advice for 1st timers that are staying @ the Azteca?

We plan to run over and visit the Maya too.

1) If you are anything like us, you will get bored with the buffet dinner after a few days (it's basically the same thing every night). So, make reservations at the ala carte restaurants as soon as you get to the resort. It usually takes a few days to get into those restaurants, so your reservations will come up about the same time that you're getting bored with the buffet.

2) Make sure that you join "Wyndham by Request" and that they have your number on the reservation. You'll get an upgraded room and some other extras.

3) Be prepared to have a good time. We had a blast at the Maya!
