Karen ... we recently stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach section and it was FANTASTIC! Iberostar has resorts all over the world and they are experts at it ... have no doubt you will enjoy yourself and get a wonderful value. Your children will have loads to do and will make plenty of friends there to do activities with. BOOK IT!

Considering that the Maya is ALL-SUITES and substantially more money that the other IB hotels, I hope you got a good deal. I am going March 12-21 and its costing me abuot $500-600 more than the same time staying at the Lindo. I can only imagine what it must be for a family.

Since you will have the use of all the others (Lindo, Del Mar, Beach, you should have a great time. The Maya is supposed ot have some great a la carte restaurants. I hear they also have a few small pools in addition to the pool shared with the Lindo.

I would make the suggestion that you sort of know in advance when you might want to take excursions etc. And consider that when you make your dinner reservations. I recognize that some people dont want to be locked in to certain times, and that may be harder to do with kids, but its absolutely ESSENTIAL that you maye your dinner reservations AS SOON AS YOU GET THERE. It is going to be a very busy time (even as a returning guest to IB - I was there at the LIndo 3 times this year - I could not get the week I wanted which included easter.
