I'm staying at the Azteca April 19-24 for a 2nd time. I was thinking of trying the mexican ala carte at the Maya. Did you eat there? Any other restaurants you'd recommend? Did you get up the beach to the Azteca? I loved the smaller size of these hotels and can't wait to go back.

No did not get to see the beach at the Azteca. But most beaches in that area have had exstensive errosion. They are working every day to try and build up the beaches in the 1 week that we were there they had recovered a good 60% of the beach. Yes we ate at the Mexican restaraunt Don Diego of all the restaraunts on both properties I was not particular about this one. The other 3 ladies that were with us were of the same mindset. But the dining was great and the waiters were amazing. So one out of 6 is very good. Just make sure you book all the restaraunts at one time that way you will be able to get good eating times. The Italian restaurant at the Azteca is amazing. Have a great time. Wish I was back there
