Yes, but if you're looking for a wild time with other 20-somethings during your romantic getaway, you'd probably need to go visit the other nearby Riu properties (disco, bars) as well. There was a huge range of ages at the resort while we were there, and most people were older than 30. But if you're going just to hang with your SO and don't need much nightlife, it's a wonderful place for that!

We saw alot of couples, all ages, and a wedding almost every day.

So yes, there are alot of young, romantic couples who go there.

If you want to party -go into town or the other Riu's.

The Palace has a theatre show at night, a band in the gazebo outside, and a piano player in the lobby bar. Nothing too wild, but it's still entertainment.

i would not recommend this resort for younger couples. we returned from the riu palace mexico in november. my b/f and i felt very out of place and young. the neighbouring riu's were more our speed. the discos were alot of fun. we managed to make friends with 2 other young couples at this resort but we took our fun off site. it is a little stuffy for our tastes. the rooms were nice and service second to none. beach was amazing. but we aren't trust fund children. awkward and boring night life there.
