You could call your cell phone provider and see if they get service there or you could rent a cell phone while there. I know Cancun valet rents them. The internet at the resort it slow.

I believe there is a weekly charge for the ROOM internet connection. The internet rooms have computers that are about 30 pesos (3 usdollars) for 15 minutes.

I would use the internet.........Let them call you if necessary. But make sure there's no charge for incoming calls (I dont think so).

They do sell phone cards at the Del Mar but do not use the phone in your room. The resort charges a connection fee when you use your room phone and it ends up costing about $60.00 U.S. for a 5 minute phone call on a phone card.

Find a payphone that accepts a phonecard.
