These are in no following order, except for the Trip Advisor party on Tuesday. Thanks, Rick S, for a great job in putting this together. Great place! Food was delish! Entertainment was fun, (and we hadn't even met Marla yet!). After the TA gtg, Rick led the group to Tinys for some fun drinks and dancing ( we will post pictures on Facebook).
We met Tiffany and Brad from Barlitos the next morning. Great people, they care deeply for their community and it shows! We brought books for the school children and Tiffany insisted on sending us a thank you, e mail. And as everyone has already said, they make a mean cinnamon roll. Everything we ate there was wonderful!
Rooster and Lola Valentinos were both supberb, don't miss Lola's watermelon jalepeno margaritas.
All in all,we did not have a disappointment (except some weather) for the whole trip. The hotel was very nice, well taken care of and clean. Not everyone spoke English and we didn't all speak Spanish, but there was always someone close by that did speak Enough English to take care of us. The grounds were well taken care of and people were happy wherever we were!
We saved the best for last. Lolo Lorena's. We had such a lovely time, with her and her other guests. Food was supberb, flavor so were melded so well together, I hope we get a chance to enjoy her company for another of her meals in the future.
We'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. Also Steve has acquired a vital signs monitor for the Cruz Roja in Isla. It should weigh about 10 to 15 pounds. He should have it in the next couple of weeks. If anyone will be making a trip this spring and has room to carry it to Isla, please let us know and we'll get everything to you.
