I completely understand! I have already booked this vacation and my kids are 14 and almost 11...I was wondering if the 11 year old has a different band that will tell her age? I figure if I can't sneak her in then the kids could hit the buffet for a night...while the "adults" hit the ala carte...When are you traveling??? It was a really good deal at $84 a night all incluisve per person...

There is a special deal going where kids are free in February, so I was thinking about using frequent flier miles and going Feb. 13th - 22nd. HOWEVER, we are waiting on my son's passport and I doubt we'll get it in time. (Applied Dec. 27 and was told last night that I won't get it until probably March 1...unless I pay them $60 to expedite it...then I'd get it in a week.) Traveling on those dates means my kids would have missed 6 days of school so it's probably better if I just wait and see if any good deals come up closer to Spring Break.

just about all hotels that are allinclusive have this rule. I think it's so the older people and those w/o kids can have a quiet meal. I beleave they are firm with the rules. We were in Punta Cana last year and it was the same.

Don't bite my head off here -- I have a 15 year old and I am youth counselor -- but there is nothing worse than going to a romantic dinner and having a young one bored at the table next to you. I understand that some (maybe many) kids are great in restraunts but certainly not all. It would be difficult for the resort to serve on a case by case basis, so I am happy that the policy is there.
