Hi all! We just returned last night (jan. 28)

We had a good time. Any questions out there that I may be able to help with?

yeah, I do....

did you just love it? we were there this summer and had a great time. I don't know if it was being in Cozumel or if it was the fact that my hubby and I were alone...no kids/family, etc. Despite the fact that his wallet got "stolen" from the airplane, this resort made us forget all about it.

I am headed back down there for my 8th trip to cozumel. All of the trips have been to the iberostar except one after the hurricane. Has the follage grown back and is the service back up to its regular standards?

Any DVD players in room?

Did they have good water sport rental equipment? i.e. Kayaks

yes, I have lots of questions....husband and I are going for our first time in March...took 5 yrs to talk him into going.

I am concerned about the bugs everyone is talking about, are they that bad. We are taking bug spray.

Also, husband wants to know if the resort has good seafood?

we are not picky eaters...

Did you go into town, husband is concerned about safety...

OK, last question...How is the shopping at the resort?? just incase I don't make it into the town.

Thanks Deb

Bug's did not seem bad for us. Food was so-so at our AI. Go to town & party away. Probably Safer than your hometown!!!!! Just got back Sunday nite & the wife feels the same way. She and my buddy's wife took a taxi to town while we were diving & we met up with them there! Great time had by all.

I am traveling in TWO WEEKS to the Iberostar (can not wait!!!). It will be two younger couples, what is there it do at the resort after dinner? Did you go to any of the clubs?

Compare the so so food to something, I am a little worried about this. Better then say Bob Evans? Big Boy? I am not really picky but just wondering how high to set my expectations.

What was the best thing you did on vacation that you reccommend!

Thanks for your input!

I will try & sum it up for everyone:

*The follage is looking good, the flamingo's very pretty

*Staff was great...waiters,cleaning,bartenders....

*No DVD Players in the rooms

*They have Kayaks, snorkel gear, & windsailing

*The only time that I had a problem with BUGS was at night by the water.

*There was not a whole lot of seafood, the fish was wonderful, they also have pizza, chips, chicken, lots to choose from

*We went to town to do our shopping (by taxi), there is a small shop at the resort.

*Went to the famous "Carlo's & Charlies" & "Senior Frogs" had a blast!

*There is a Disco at the resort & after dinner shows

*Dressel Divers are on sight to help with anyone that dives

*We took the "Fury" twice on snorkeling excursions (they pick you up right at the pier at resort)

*Best recomendation....let's see....tip your bartender, waiter, & cleaning crew and you will not be forgotten!

I hope that I haven't forgetten anything....lol

We are already wanting to go back next year.

Question from a fellow mom. My daughters and I leave for Iberostar in Cozumel in a couple weeks. We've been to several resorts in Cozumel as well as Playa. I'm a bit nervous about what I've read about geckos inside the motel room. Yea, I know their good for eating bugs, yea, I know they don't hurt people but I still don't want them inside my motel room (on the resort grounds is fine). Did you see them inside your room? I just don't want one of them to spot a bug on my bed at night while I'm sleeping and dive bomb me.

Geckos can get just about anywhere they want... Whether it's a palapa roof or a concrete building, they can find a way in and out. They are totally harmless, and I find them and their "TIK-TIK-TIK!" noise to be welcome company. They will not dive bomb you. They won't even get close to you.

We were there for 7 nights, & I did not see a geiko in our room. I did see several out and about the resort.

***Make sure you make dinner reservations as soon as you can...it took us 4 days to get into the steak house****
