I wasn't initially sure if you and Robert were saying it could not be done right now or were trying to make value judgments (you won't like the dust, you won't like the wait in the heat, etc) for us. It sounds as if for the time being the taxi workaround is not feasible. I hope the shuttle vans haven't jacked up rates temporarily knowing this alternative is not there.

Is there any "official" place where shuttle rates are posted. A search for "Airport xx Shuttle xx Rates" mostly returns posts where people are saying search on that phrase plus a few apparently secondhand info on rates. Are there children rates?

(Suggestion: refer to search phrases as I did and tell people to remove the x's so the search returns just the relevant posts and not a gazillion posts telling people to search for those posts.)

Betsy, I said "in front of" the airport, not "at" the airport. I'm referring to the road a block away where people walk to catch the taxis, off airport property.

But since we're on the subject, I know hotels cannot pick up guests, but can tourists in a rental car stop by and pick up friends arriving on a later flight?

Please, anyone reading this, if you want to hike out to the construction site to catch a cheaper taxi, go for it......but it won't be a pleasant beginning to your vacation..........and it honestly makes no difference to me.

The point is, you often tell people to search for "Airport Shuttle Rates" and when someone does that they get a half dozen results that consist of you telling people to search for the phrase "Airport Shuttle Rates", which obscures the actual post containing the rates.

Yes quite easy, almost as easy as removing xx's from a phrase, to find the rates once one clicks on the eight result posts to see which one is the target post and which ones are recommendations to search for that post.

Oh, I see.......get it now..........I am so sorry that I caused anyone to scroll down through the eight whole OTHER mentions of the words "airport shuttle rates" in order to find my original post which clearly IS the original one. Did not mean to waste anyone's time or force anyone to do a search. Guess I'll just keep copying and pasting when people ask for that information which is pretty much everyday.

Yes, Betsy, it is such a terrible waste of time to ask anyone to do a search to find the information on here! You were very nice to do that --afraid I would let them search! Or, we could have waited for a famous CoPilot "tinyyurls" link, where they are given outdated information!
