Don't need watershoes but it's spotty with the snorkelling.

We just got back from 2 weeks there and we saw some rays, the barracuda and a huge school of fish just inside the roped off area.

But - if you take your gear to the left of the pier - on the way to Alberto's - the snorkelling is much better - I took a picture of a ray in ankle deep water on the shore and we saw a couple of pretty big fish there too.

I think it's hit and miss on what you see depending on the current. Enjoy !

Oh and it's not the Pacific - you're in the Caribbean Ocean - the Pacific is on the other side (Puerto Vallarta, etc.)

I am not sure where Snorkeler was. The Cozumel Occidental Grand I went to 6 times is located in the Carribean, NOT the Pacific ocean. The water is clear with beautiful shades of blue.

I was going to say the same thing. Definitely not the Pacific Ocean. Also, the water is beautiful. It is not shallow and wavy either.

Yes, I had the wrong ocean..the wrong Occidental - for some reason I thought this was about the PV Occidental..oooppps!
