My Fiance' & I are shceduled to arrive at Playa-Azul on December. We are supposed to be getting married at Mr.Sanchos Beach Club.

We have a party of 25/30 people staying at Playa-Azul.

So we are nervous. I did call the hotel yesterday and the manager told me that they HOPE to be up and running by Christmas. The construction company is coming later this week and he said they should have a much better idea by monday/tuesday of next week.

Just need to give them a little time to breath.....

I'm sure they will make every effort to do what they can. Cozumel will be built up again. It's such a beautiful island and a big tourist place. That's where they make their money. I'll keep my fingers crossed for your wedding plans. I'm sure by December, there will be a big improvement.

I was at the Playa last year and they had a wedding there. It was beautiful. Mr. Sanchos is really nice to. I have been going to Cozumel for the last 7 years. No place like it.

Hello...I am in the process of searching for a wedding site and am interested in Playa Azule. I can see that some people have been married there and some are in the process. Please help.....anything you can tell me I would appreciate. I want to get married Jan of 2007.

We too are wondering what's happend at the Playa Azul. This is a most wonderful spot, small, quaint and very relaxing! We've been coming down for several years for the snorkelling, diving and golf. We hope they'll be up and running very soon. Does anyone have any word on what condition the golf course is in? We've been trying to reach Benny Campos to see how he and his staff have faired but haven't heard anything back!

I did read an unofficial report that Playa Azul should be open by Dec 15th. Also I saw that Prima did not have much damage and should be open when electricity is restored.
