This email was depressing. Park Royal is one of the less expensive AI's, so you get what you pay for. Although it's still quite a chunk of money, Park Royal is not ritzy but it is a good place to go on a budget. I am really looking forward to my trip and I will eat most meals here, but I don't plan on spending my whole time at the hotel. Some people just aren't appreciative.

Coffee. I am not sure if you went to Cozumel yet but as with anything, it is what you make of it. The park Royal is one of the most inexpensive AI hotel. It is a basic hotel, and and the prices show it. I have been there 5 times in the last 3 years, and never had any big issues. in fact if you treat the people nice, you get treated great. Check out the bartender Luis, He goes by the name "okie dokie". The reason you get different color bbands is depending on the days you come in. the broken windows are from the part that has been closed for several years so all people stay in the tower. The food is not the best but even at the top rated hotels the food in the AI is not the best. I have never had any issues with my drinks, in fact since I mostly drink beer I bring my own 32 oz cup down. I tip the bartenders and I am served before anyone else. they remember you. also stop by the Dollar store and buy little things. All the people have several kids and if you give them something you will be treated like kings and queens. The people get paid based on the the capacity of the hotel if the hotel is full the will make about $200 a wek if not full they make less. If you take care of them you will see nothing but great reviews if you don't you will probably post comments like above.
