Dress Code at Iberostar Cozumel |
|
Just wondering if there is a dress code for the a la cartes and also the buffet? What do the men have to wear on their feet also? Are sandles allowed? I know the Iberostar in the Dominican Republic was pretty strict on what was excepted and they did not bend. Thank you PureCanadian Report as inappropriate |

There is a dress code for the Mexican theme restaurant, and I thought it also applied to the Steak House theme restaurant but that may not be accurate. I dug up the set of sheets which you get upon check in including the grounds map with your room circled. it says in regard to the fact you must make reservations (done in reception area, usually no problem unless the resort is packed) I quote "All gentlemen must wear long pants for the Mexican restaurant" There are 2 restaurants for your regular meals, the main one being just off from the reception area, breakfast starts at 7:00 and I think that bathing suits are a no no there. The second restaurant is beside the pool and the only important rule is not to be dripping wet when using it (wet floors are slippery). It offers breakfast starting at 10:00. This area is used for the Steak house in the evenings. The Mexican restaurant is a separate facility with no other apparent use. For specific information I am including the E-mail address I have used to contact them, be patient as they take about 1 week to reply. (the address is rrppczm@iberostar.com.mx) Someone from public relations should reply to any questions. The Iberostar chain of resorts has a global web site also, www.iberostar.com that with a few mouse clicks will get to the Cozumel site which used to provide a virtual tour which is informative, as well as lots of other info about the resort. Hey cicopo are you out there? I know you answered me about the dress code and the guys do have to wear pants but do they have to wear closed shoes that you know of or are mens leather dressy sandals good enough? Report as inappropriate | ||||||

I am out here, watching the forum while waiting for paint to dry. I must say you have got me on this one. I have the "reception team" hand out in my hand and it only mentions long pants being required for the Mexican restaurant. I can't say I paid attention to anyones footwear, but I suspect you would be safe in nice sandals. After all, they are common footwear down south. Hopefully someone has a qualified answer for you but I can only make an educated guess. Time to go spray more primer, but I will watch for answers. I always wore running shoes.
