I submitted a hotel review for La Ceiba 10 days ago. I got an email to verify it. Did that. It still hasn't showed up. It seems like a long time. Do they just reject some?

I put mine on this form instead of the hotel forum. It seems like virtually everyone on this forum is asking questions about hotels anyway so it just seemed the logical place to put that information. And my post got immediately posted without any delay.
Yes they could reject it BUT they would notify you that they have (personal experience from my review of Hotel Cozumel recently) I had one review take over 3 weeks to appear and since they are usually a bit slow responding to email inquiries (they must get a lot every day) I guess all you can do is wait. My review was rejected because I had one from 2 years ago and the policy is one review of any resort per member, so I had to send an "official" request to have the old review removed in order to resubmit the new one. That meant having to add info from the first review that I hadn't put into the new one but simply listed the address so people could read both.
I think putting it here is helpful, but from experience have learned that not many forum users use the search function for such things and simply ask their "new" question. I also have taken the time to scan the review sections of several resorts and very few of the screen names are familiar, meaning they may never have used the forum or even realized it exists. By having a review in the proper section I think it will be more useful in the long run, plus it helps with the "user rating" being one more way to compare the resorts or hotels. At least the "user rating" is from travellers & not advertising types. Users know what they got for the money spent, but you can't please everyone all the time so even some reviews need to be "interpreted" rather than just believed.
Cicopo,
Quite true...
My review took about 5 days and when it was posted, it was dated the day I put it in, but was further down on the list. you may want to do a search through the reviews and see if yours is on there, but pushed further down. Also, if you look at your profile, if you see it there, then it is somewhere on the review board. Hope that makes sense.
I just posted it in the forum.
By the way...I just put up my Day 5 report too.
