 Hotel Help!

Good Evening,

My first and most recent trip to Cozumel was in 2003 at which time I stayed at the Presidente InterContinental. LOVED the resort but this time I am a bit more on a budget. I am currently trying to plan a Girls Getaway for my cousin and I, the problem I am having is that I have read so many reviews that my head is beginning to spin. We are in our early 20s so we do not want a place that closes down at 8 nor do we want the typical partying associated with Cancun. Local diving isn’t really a big concern, just a nice resort to relax and enjoy the sun :)

Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks!

First I will assume that you want a real beach. On the north side you have Melia, El Cozumeleno and Playa Azul. Azul has teh worst beach and Melia can have a water discoloration that is not pretty but has the best beach of the three other than the water. Plus you are a cheap, quick taxi ride to Carlos n Charlies if that appeals to you.

South of town you have Reef Club/Sabor, Allegro, Occidental Grand and Iberostar. The taxi ride is much more to town.

See if that minimizes the reviews you have to check.
