Cancun Forum: Moon Palace Beach

Hi soccermama! How's the weather? Also can't find your pics! Hope you are having fun!

I was hoping it wouldn't take soooo long for them to upload the pictures. Hopefully they will be up soon. I will repost if necessary. Weather has been perfect all week. Yesterday was warm and mostly sunny, but VERY windy. Sand blowing everywhere. We still enjoyed ourselves by the pool all day. Noone was able to be at the beach though. I'll post my review when I get back and upload all my photos.

Just got back yesterday from Moon and had wonderful weather all week, maybe 5 miuntes of rain Wednesday and everyone ran inside like they were gonna melt! We just hung out and enjoyed it.

We also went to Cancun Palace, great ocean but very small beach, very crowded beacuse of the lounge chairs.

I had a very good time with Moons beach this year, have been 7 times before. I braved the seaweed and went on in! Nice and warm, soft sand with no rocks. Now if you wonder past the resort on the Sunrise side there are small rocks, very close reefs with loys of fish and great shells.

We also walked the other direction wat past Grand Moon and the seaweed was much less, the waves faster and easier to swim but no shells.

Checkers, you know that Moons water is not as pretty as the strip because of all the reefs that break the waves causing still water and seaweed. The beach is huge and soft and lots of beach activites going on all day

Hi Tommy!

The beach bar was a disappointment, only open from 6 to 10 pm, very quiet. Spa like music playing, kinda Zen like! We only stayed a few minutes and only because it was the night of the lunar eclipse and we were watching that otherwise we would have fallen asleep! It really needs to be open during the day!

Give me a few days for pictures, there were 8 of us and someone else has my sd card with my pictures!

Mcmommy - did you get a chance to checkout the Sushi restaurant?

Yes, not a sole was there so we were a little leary and did not eat there.

My daughter and her boyfriend ate at the Japansee at the golf course and had it there, it was ok she said.

I'm not a fan so wouldn't have tried it.

It is outside by the pool on the Nizuc side
