Your concerns sound like mine. We are scheduled at the Cancun Palace on April 27-May 05. The latest hotel reports on this tripadvisor sound pretty good, sounds like things are getting closer all the time to being 100%. Also sounds like maybe the Cancun is a little more of a "party" resort and the Sun is more laid back. When are you planning to travel? I'm so excited, we have 34 days left to go!
It's not just the condition to consider.. According to Bob in NH, it's pretty quiet at the Sun w/ not much to do at night. I think personally that Cancun Palace would be more of a "fun" location and the Sun more of a quiet/peaceful location. I also like the Cancun's choice of restaurants and buffet's better. I think I'd be sick of only 3 choices after a week.
I'll be at the Cancun Palace 4/20 - 4/29.... Stop by and say Hola!
