 Ritz Carlton Club Level or American Grand Coral Club Level

Having visited many Ritz Carltons in the states, I have come to really love the Ritz Carlton club level because of the 5 food presentations, and plentiful drinks coupled of course with superior service. I tend to book only @ The Ritz because of this. The club level always becomes a hangout for me during my stays, as it seems to be a bit exclusive from the majority of the hotel, and very tranquil. I am interested in trying it in Cancun and would like more information from those who have visited. I prefer to be in a more mature environment, no offense to those with children, but it's not for me.

I am also interested in hearing details about the Americana Grand Coral Club level.

Lady

Good Morning! I for one would choose the Ritz over any Hotel in Cancun. Just IMHO. It is the best Hotel I have stayed in and well worth the price. I too try to stay @Ritz' whenever possible. And I too love the Club level and the freedom to eat and drink anytime I choose. but what makes the RCC so unique is the Service. It is the Best. The Staff on the Club are Outstanding and go way out of their way to make your stay wonderful. I can't wait to get back there.

The Children issue. For the first time in 12 years going to the RCC we had an issue with the kids. There were some kids that we so totally out of control. The RCC staff had to actually speak to the parents about the behavior of some of the kids. By any means it didn't ruin our time at all. But some people were really upset. And so were some of the parents when I posted my trip report while there at the hotel and when I got home. And too bad to them, as my momma would say "the truth hurts".

But I HIGHLY recommend the RCC. I did stay at the FAGA's club, Le Meriden club, Melia club, Sheraton club and Westin Club there in Cancun and none compares to RCC. I have some great pic's of the RCC from this past Dec, let me know if you'd like to see them.

Theresa - Thank you for your response! I am pleased, but not surprised, to hear that the Ritz continues its committment to excellence outside of the states! I would be interested in seeing your pics, are they posted here to TA anywhere. Also, have you ever had the opportunity to stay at any all inclusives in Cancun? I have seen that TA rates Le Blanc as the # 1 hotel choice, and am interested to hear how it would compare to the RCC. Thanks again!

Your Welcome!

La Blanc is voted #1 and is getting excellent reviews. And if I weren't so loyal to the Ritz that's where I'd like to stay. Though My Daughter took a tour of the Royal last month and She said when it was finished it was going to rival all the other Luxury Hotels in Cancun.

We stayed at one AI years ago at the Moon Palace. It was ok, but nothing extra. I am a huge foodie person. I live, breathe and work with food, and RCC has been the best I've had in Cancun/Mexico.

We meet up with some TA people while there in Dec and they stayed at the Omni and raved about it and they went AI and loved it. Omni has a special right now too. Stay one night get second night 1/2 off.

I have been having some major technical difficulties with post pic's online for months now. In fact I tried to put some on TA right after I wrote the post back to you and they wouldn't load up for some reason. Email Me snugrugbug@aol.com and I will email you them.

As for service in Cancun it's the best I've experienced. All the Hotels and Restaurant and interacting with the Mexican People is a pleasure. They are the friendliest, sincere and kind people. I hold Mexico close to my heart and I think you will find most TA members feel the same way.

Theresa -

Le Blanc sounds like another fabulous luxury resort, but I have no history with it, unlike the Ritz. This will certainly be a tough choice.

I read another post of yours where you mentioned how you are a "food person." I am much the same, when I go on vacation. GOOD food, stellar service, and sun are all I care about! *which is what keeps me going back to the Ritz... Having said that, I look forward to learning as much as I can about both resorts. On one hand I know and trust the Ritz, with their "ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentleman" approach coupled with all day food club level. On the other hand, Le Blanc looks super posh, and the great food and accomodation reviews certainly seem to keep me interest peaked.

::sigh::

Decisions, decision!

I dont believe you will find anything to compare with the Ritz in Cancun---not the Le Blanc or any other hotel. JW Marriott is probably the closest competition---also the only other 5 star hotel anywhere in the region.
