Cancun Forum: Crown Paradise Club not so Paradise

well dislodgedemon, you enjoyed your holiday as much as we did then! my letter is already on its way to first choice. i could cry with the amount of money that was wasted on this. read my review, i too didnt have time to write everything down.

I can still not believe how much it has changed for the worst when I look at our pics from Dec - Jan 2nd of this year I want to scream on how much $$$ it cost to stay there that week the kids had off. Myself and my 9 year old were deadly sick for about 48 hrs.Oh yes and not to mention we have been there 4 times prior thats how much we loved it. All I can say for anyone who reads the reveiews they are all true. Except for peolpe who complain about noisy children hello it is a family resort I would never go there with just my husband. Oh did I mention we brought another family with us and in their room was a double bed and a COT! they were to booked for a room change and she had a family of 4.

I use to really love CPC, but based on all the feedback I have gotten here, I don't think I will be going back in the near future. The entertainment staff made the resort great for me. Now, based on what I have heard here, they no longer have adult daily activities in the pool (IE tequila volleyball, water polo and volleyball, etc). So I have no interest in going again.

Yep you are so right. The new management has changed everything!!!!!! but also it took a bad beating from the hurricane and in our opinion it is still run down. Believe me I feel so sad when I write about this place because it was so great. The old entertainment staff is now at the Great Parisium (I know I spelled that wrong). but it was the old Golden Crown Paradise.

Actually it is not the former Golden Crown but abrand new hotel. The Golden Crown is now the Golden Parnassus and the Great Parnassus is the new hotel. We love the Parnassus properties and the only reason we are booked at the Crown is because we are bringing our kids and the Golden does not accept kids and the Greats' level of completion was in doubt. I would highly recommend the Parnassus properties to anyone who wants a worry free enjoyable vacation in Cancun.

ashliam, glad you had a good time too, this was nothing like the Caribbean I know that's for sure. It was more like Florida, which is nice but I booked the Mexican Caribbean!!! I wrote my review on this hotel today, (I actually copy and pasted most of it from my letter to First choice which was sent on 1 March. I left out the stuff about the airline and there rude staff as this is not the C not so PC fault, hopefully it will be on there in a couple days, I could not write everything in the review as it was a 5 page letter to First choice and even then I left some out, it could have been 10!!
