I was thinking that since I've already been to the Tlacolula and Ocotlan markets, I would combine the Etla market with San Jose el Mogote and San Augustin Etla. I haven't really been north of Oaxaca City for any exploring. I was also considering Santa Maria Atzompa, but maybe that should be on a seperate outing.Edited: 12:15 pm, January 29, 2013
Then that's a great idea, and you can do it all in the one day, starting out with a reliable driver at say 9:30 am. Make sure you get into the Mogote community museum, more impressive than the ruin itself. Enjoy!

I just posted an item on the forum about how I was robbed while I was visiting the Etla market on a recent vacation in Oaxaca. So, obviously, I wouldn't suggest going there, but I suppose what happened could happen at any marketplace or event where there are tourists and people who want to steal their money. Be on your guard!
