The only time my wife and I are able to be off work and travel coincides with "spring break." Obviously other destinations in Mexico will be overrun by springbreakers, is Zihuatanejo one of those? Or is it a decent, adult destination even during the traditional spring break season?

Dobber;

We are generally there in the first part of March, (Ixtapa) the median age on the beach seems to be around forty, not that we over forty folks don't know how to party! It's just most of us seem to do it with a bit more style.

Zihua is not a spring break type place. Weve been visiting for 15 years for this reason. You may find a little more spring break action in Ixtapa but it doesnt come close to Cancun etc. There arent a lot of big hotels in Zihua so its not real conducive to the college, cheap room cheap beer crowd. if you are like us you'll return year after year.
