i was going to wait till the end of the week and thought---why not torture you guys now with my longwindedness. so many awesome things happen in the course of a day in pv--it's astounding. the people you meet and the stories they tell make pv and our time here so precious. stuff happens here that i can't imagine happening back in ohio--okay i'll stop
before i move on to sunday---i forgot to mention that on saturday we visited the market on b. badillo. please DO NOT pass up jorge's pies---they are tummy pleasers---the very very berry is outstanding. i wish we would have bought every flavor. he had these small pies for 2 for 50p---we bought the berry and pecan. also bought some organic coffee and some coffee from san sabastian for 50p per bag.
i also on sat had a massage on the beach. rosie who i love has moved to huatalco--so i heard. i had an awesome body massage done by javier for 250p---he was extremely good.
movin on--today started off overcast(probably cuz our friends were gone) but became sunny later.
we split a small pie for breaky---went for a walk which turned out to be a booze run--but not before we visited santa cruz church for some prayer and thanksgiving.
we bought some wine and rum at vinos america on b.badillo--i swear some of their prices rival la playa. anywho george made jello shots--that man can cook!!!
we headed to los muertos and daquari dicks where we me up with our friend mickie. the stories that woman can tell about her life in vallarta had us going. chico served us quesidillas, mickie had eggs, beans, potatoes quac180p. we got to talking and chico agreed to take the 3 of us to san sabastian thurs--hope it pans out.
after a dip in the pool--hubby and i headed to funiclli tratattoria--love that place---service is a little slow but the food is great. 2 spag pomadora, salad of tomato slices topped with basil leaf olive, caper, and cheese, pizza bread198p-yummy.
since we were next to los muertos brewery---we went in to meet conner. talked for awhile, nice guy---go for the pizza--we enjoyed it.
walked to the pier---met a pip of an elderly lady whose husband died of alzheimer(she nursed him for 4 years)---rough disease--i lost my best friend, my mom to it. anyway she left liverpool england and has been traveling and has been only home for 6 days in 12months--amazing and lucky.
went for ice cream at vayan25p--went home and shot a couple of tequillas.
did a walkabout after jorge's pecan pie(feel the love) through the flea market area and i decided to go to a yoga class at vallarta yoga or vice versa on b. badillo a couple doors past constitucion. it was pretty good120p including mat.
hit los muertos where i had the brilliant idea to ask pepe if i could ride in the parasail boat when someone went up. pepe can't say no to me anymore than i can say to him--so it was pretty neat. i was not very graceful climbing into the boat--where did i lose that grace?
met sampati --she posts on fox's board----she had been sitting next to us on the beach at coco tropical. thought she recognized me from my antics with our parasail friends after my boat ride. really nice lady---we talked for awhile---ope to see her manana.
got my margs from chico75p for 2--a steal during hh.
we went to el brujo for dinner. the big guy had his usual octopus 150p-me crab enchiladas85p--all good. a family sitting next to us started a conversation. in the process we learned he was from the states, his wife from vallarta and she had been deported and had to stay out of usa for 5 years---they have a young daughter so he goes back and forth.
next we went to see fox and cheryl at cfe roma for a couple of beers and then to devils helado 50p for 2 ice creams rasberry cheesecake and vanilla---yummy good--melinda and allen--where were you?
the days are flying--boohoo. we went to memo pancake house hawaiian pancakes(3 huge and good) banana pecan pancake100p---on full.
we next hopped the bus to --yea you guessed it-NIGHT OF THE IGUANA land--mismaloya.
kansas--on the way i asked the bus driver if the bus would drop us off on that beach---i think it's called las palmas--i'll find out tomorrow and he said yes--so we'll be heading there if the weather holds out.
at mismaloya---we swam had a marg and a couple of beers, george started giving water to a dog and this mexican man who we learned later lived in denver struck up a conversation with george. after about 45 min--i said we had to go catch the bus back---he owned a transportation company and he had brought about 20 mex nationals to mismaloya from the hotel zone. he offered to take us back so we agreed---we get the best seat in the biggest van i ever saw---the clients are offering us beer as we drive highway 200--yeah that would ha pen in my neighborhood!?!.they dropped us off at b. badillo and insurgentes and went their merry way.
we went straight to los muertos--my boys were closing up and said they wouldn't be there tomorrow--the boat is getting fixed.
we went to the meet and greet---jr lucked out again--only us--lol and then marilyn and david(macdive) showed up. after a few drinks, jr went to quepasa and we 4 went to pollo feliz on f madero . whole chicken, rice, cactus, chips salsa, beans 180p--that chicken is good and the place is ac. a great night of conversation--went back home---and here i write.
only a few more days left--i'll make 'em good.
