Been going to PV and Nuevo for the last 3 years and never had any problems with my ATT cell phone. I was text messaging and instantly getting responses from the other end be it on the beach, in the room, at the airport, in a restaurant - no problems. Heck - I still would get the stupid "your warranty has expired . . . " phone call, and that was in the middle of the night! Cost me a $1 to answer that stupid call!!!

My AT&T international plan costs $4.99 per month and calls are 39 cents per minute. I have great reception all over Puerto Vallarta.

You are actually Roaming using TelCel not ATT.

My Iphone (AT&T) had full bars the whole time.

No additional international plan, calls cost $.99, sms $.50
