I have noticed over the years that many people on this board continue to return to Huatulco each year. So... how many return vivsts? For me , it was 3 times to the old Gala, twice to Dreams and this year will be are third to Sueno del Mar... total of eight
Lucky bum... 3 under my belt.. shooting for 4 this December.. far from being a Destination Expert that's for sure!
2x To Crown Pacific (pre time share selling) 2x To Villa Sol Y Mar. During one of the times @ Sol Y Mar also spent I week @ Las Brisas, 4 days in Oaxaca City, where we had a great tour with forum & Huatulco Eye contributer Alvin Starkman, & also experienced a riot with the teachers union (not good), & 3 nights @ Villa Blanca.
2 more times @ Las Brisa (one solo). Next year, Secrets - new location new experiences, (will definitely try to walk to La Bocana @ least once).
Many memorable evenings @ Hemingways, as well as one or 2 all day snorkel tours with Hurricane Divers each year (Pauline's Lunch Rocks)
Looking forward to even more....

Staying at Las Brisas.
First trip in 2010 we stayed at the Barcelo for a week and then spent a couple of nights at The Villa Blanca.
Love Huatulco - but the time and cost of getting there changed our outlook on purchasing. Bought in Phoenix instead... love the heat, but miss the ocean and small town vibe.
Hoping that air access improves over the coming years and we might trade up closer to retirement!
This will be our 8th year going to Huatulco.
4 years Gala, 2 years Dreams,1 year (1/2 Dreams 1/2 Secrets)
Heading back to Dreams this year again.We enjoyed our visit to Secrets last year, but Dreams/Gala feels like home to us and our little gang. The count down is on......3 months today!
Been going to Huatulco twenty years, about 30 trips total. Yup, we would call this our second home. Just as excited waiting for our January trip as we were 20 years ago.
Great friends, places to eat, beautiful beaches, perfect weather..........................

Loved the look of the Gala, was sad to see it change to Dreams, it seemed to loose the Mexican charm. So we went to Barcelo and feel like we found the charm again.
Love Huatulco, we be leaving resort more this time now that we are going for 2 weeks. Can hardly wait.
Pretty much lost count of the trips. Been coming 12 years and now for the most part live here. Did the AI for a few years, first being the Gala, then to an apartment for increasing time periods and now have a condo downtown La C.
Really enjoy being with the Mexican folks and eating at their local restaurants and carts, The weather is not bad either......you think????
This will be our 5th trip. First trip - Camino Real, Second Trip - Barcelo, Third trip - rented a condo, Fourth and Fifth trip Mision de los Arcos. Can't wait to go back in February! Love the area, the food and most of all the people.
This will be the seventh. Las Brisas x 2, Crown x 4 and trying the Castillo in 3 weeks. 22 sleeps, woo hoo! Can't wait!
One or two a year for the past 15-16 years. First stayed at the royal Maeva which became gala then dreams. Barcelo was Sheraton, las Brisas Club Med. the weather and locals haven't changed a bit. Wonderful.
