Dreams or Barcelo?

The wife and I are thinking about this area of Mexico this year. We are looking for the smaller resort, (unlike the mega resorts in the Myan). Good food, nice resort beach with snorkeling, and of course good fishing. What would you suggest?

Both these resorts are on the same beach, really right next to each other. If you want snorkelling at your hotel beach then go to Las Brisas (if you don't mind climbing all the stairs).

You really cannot go wrong with a holiday in Huatulco!! All the beaches in this area are nice!!

Barcelo is smaller and more "Mexican" in design since the Dreams upgrade.

Dreams has the better swimming area, but you can just walk down to it from next door Barcelo.

The beach belongs to everyone, ESPECIALLY MEXICANS,

Barcelo is cheaper ...

Lovely part of Mexico and lovely local people.

... the beach in front of the Barcelo, and in the lee of the island I think is the best swimming beach along that stretch of Tangolunda! it's all pretty nice!
