Nope - can't say that I would "remember"; but, I believe it was built in 1969 ... as the "Hotel Marriott Paraiso".

Won't be there in May - so I'll donate the Dos Equis to someone (else) who might be in town.

Yes - that I was! But a good one - LOL! Wasn't easy to track down that information, ya know.

On the other hand - I did stumble across a VERY interesting website which offers detailed info, along with some original sketches, of many of the hotel buildings in Acapulco (and elsewhere). I actually enjoyed reviewing the site. Very educational.

Loved it back then Used to rent a car all the time. Drive to the Mercado and cliff divers. Princess Hotel Was five years old when I went on my Honeymoon in 1976 Still love the town for just being a great city. If you want to Really experience Mexico. Work out a day trip with a cab driver to Chilapa on a Sunday which is local market day. They have a church there that is worth the ride. It is 130 KMs north of Acapulco. You will be the Only Non Mexican there. Great food and a great day trip

Sure has changed along with alot of other things!!

La Huerta?? Went by only once but knew people that went there! Then after I married a local I was glad to tell him I had never been there! Well, maybe once but-outside I guess¿ but I was young and didn't know any better "first trip" in Acapulco kind of thing!!!

The Barrel Bar near there too???

Lots of fun and is still going on! Believe it or not!!
