“ Rental car - worth it? ”

2 adults + 2 children staying at the Inn at Loreto Bay in August.

Three years ago I "think" the taxi ride to downtown Loreto was $20.00 one way. Is that still accurate? I like to go into town for lunch and/or dinner.

When reviewing rental cars I see 3 options to rent at Loreto Airport.

Budget

Hertz

Europcar

First two are about $39/day with the last around $30/day.

Trying to see if I should rent a car or take the taxi's daily. Any thoughts and/or recommendations?

Update to my original post.

Hotel says it still is $20 for a one way taxi trip to town. Assuming it is the same amount from airport to Inn at Loreto. So unless the information is incorrect (e.g. less for taxi to town) guess it is better to rent a car.

Anyone have any good or bad experience with rental car companies I listed in Loreto?

Rented a car last time for a week , with complet coverage , cost 450.00 Us. Loved the freedom of having a car, but it'll cost yah.
