Restaurants outside of Atlantis

Hi, I'm going to Atlantis in December and the last time I went was back in 1998 and not sure how much change has taken place. I'm hesitant to buy the meal plan which will cost me about $700 for two people. Is there less expensive, but nice dining areas near or around the Atlantis resort that I can opt for instead? If so, can anyone recommend any nice restaurants? I'm doing my research and found the followig: Poop Deck, Anthony's Caribbean grill, Double Dragon, Bahamian Kitchen, Amici, those are the few. Any idea on entree prices? If reservations are required? how far away they are from the resort?

Thanks!!

We just returned from there on Monday. No meal plan for us as we like to go wherever strikes us at that moment. The marina area is a wonderful improvement next to Atlantis by the Harborside timshares. It has many nice restaurants, fairly reasonable except Seafire, the steakhouse. Bimini Road had a creat cuban and a $7.00 mojito. Not bad. Inside Atlantis casino is Atlas Bar and Grill. American food, burgers, chicken fingers were $7.00, steak sandwhich was $10 or $11.00. Anthony's is one of our favorite places. You must try their bruchetta, but ask for extra toast pieces as they load it witht he best ever tomotoes. That is an appetizer for about $8...didn't really look cause I was getting it no matter. Poop Deck is a lovely outdoor/indoor on the casual side. Only had conch fritters and a drink though. Not sure how many days your $700 covers, but there are less expensive options outside the upscale ones inside Atlantis.

Hi - we went to The Green Parrot a couple of times and it was very inexpensive and we had vouchers for free Rum Punch too! Not much variety menu-wise, we had steak wraps but they were very filling and tasty and less than $10 per head., we also ate at the Atlas Bar and Grill in the Casino, we had a bar-meal., very filling, very tasty and inexpensive (Buffalo wings and potato skins - about $15 and very filling! enough for two of us!) Wasnt THAT impressed by Anthonys., they were very busy and it seemed they couldnt get rid of us fast enough but less expensive than a lot of restaurants. It`s worth saving a couple of nights budget and go to Seafire Steakhouse - Have the lamb, its to die for!! So are the Mashed potato`s!! Cheapest wine is at least $40 a bottle though -

By the way, Green Parrot is about 5 mins walk from the hotel, just go through the Marina Village and across the road.

Try Montague Gardens. The service is great! And the food is excellent and prices reasonable. It's a short taxi ride away.

Hiya - our meal at Seafire steakhouse was just short of $200 for 2 adults and a 10 year old with 1 soda and 2 glasses of beer - but food was GREAT!
