Arriving on a cruise - Sunday in July 7am-2pm

Looking for suggestions...

Any good place for breakfast near the cruise port or straw market?

When does the straw market open on Sundays?

Good places in the same area for lunch?

Any must sees?

Any decent public beaches in the same area to walk in the early morning?

Thanks in advance!

You can walk to lighthouse/spring break beach - that's a nice walk and will take you right past the straw market. The straw vendors start arriving around 8am.

Go for a surrey ride.

Watch the marching flamingoes at ardastra gardens.

Hire a taxi to take you on a 1-2 hour tour.

Go for a snorkel trip or sailing trip, or both.

Have a cold drink under a tree by Fort Charlotte and enjoy the view (get the drink at the fish fry across the road).

Not sure where the first response poster is from and or knows. First of all there is no beach called lighthouse or spring break beach. I assume they are talking about Junkanoo Beach, which is just west of the Hilton, and cruise terminal. 15 minute walk. Second, nothing opens in downtown on a Sunday morning until at least 10 or 11. When you factor in an hour to get off your ship, an hour to get back on...you really only have time walk around downtown, do some shopping, and a quick lunch. Sitting under a tree by Fort Charolette??? I have no idea where that came from!!! LOL. One post wonders attack again.
