We are planning to visit Nassau in June, but we wanted to spend a day/night on Long Island. We saw a picture of Dean's Blue Hole and we would like to see it in person, but we have a few questions:

Is the Blue Hole far from the hotel area?

Are there any guides that could show us around the island?

Any recommendations for a nice, affordable hotel for 1 night?

Is this one of the islands you would recommend visiting?

We're already planning to do the Powerboat to Exuma. We just wanted to see another island, too. Thanks!

The most affordable hotel is probably Stella Maris and they can take care of your guide needs too. I believe they have air service also. stellamarisresort.com

Long Island is a very quiet place -- nothing like Nassau or Exuma.

Thanks for the website. We were told it's much more laid back than Nassau, so we're looking forward to being able to unwind a little.
