Radisson, along with the other Cable Beach Hotels, is going thru changes. They have been recently sold and under renovations and major changes. Staff is being retrained, and rooms are being repaired, but very slowly. THere are still major complaints about some of the older rooms. But on the plus side, the location is terrific, the property great, beach is spectacular, and everything is convenient. I was there last week, and found the front desk working efficiently (though there were bus loads of people arriving every few minutes which backed things up a bit). The lobbies were clean and smelled fresh. The lounge was active with attentive staff (on bahamian time, of course). I walked thru the hallways in the eastern tower and there was no signs of water damage or musty odor which had been previously reported. No damaged tiles in the lobby and common areas also recently reported. The grounds and pools are well kept and cleaned often.

The guests ranged from families to couples to several groups of singles having a blast. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. I talked to quite a few people and noone had a terrible experience. A few comments about a musty shower/bath area, or a dripping faucet.

There were 2 weddings going on while I visted, they were beautiful and everyone seemed content.

If you're a stickler for a luxurious room, this is not the place. It's a Radisson, nothing more.

If you spend little time in your room and want to have a great time, I think you've got a hit.

I wouldn't discount going to the Radisson for a fun vacation. Honeymooners or elitist may want to go elsewhere.
