I've been reading a couple posts that mention bringing a cooler and beer from home before going to Atlantis. Do they allow you to bring your own alcohol down to the pools? Or is that just for having in your room?

For now, they are allowing you to bring alcohol the beach and pool. They did have a no glass container rule, but I haven't heard any enforcement of it. They expect you to be discreet.
There has been some discussion about not allowing alcohol by the pools (since there are bars nearby), but nothing has come of it so far.
