I've stayed at the Wyndham Crystal Palace on Cable Beach many times as a hotel guest, but this time I am taking a cruise and was wondering if I could take the #10 bus to this hotel and cut through to use the beach (basically the beach next door at the Nassau Beach Hotel) and sit by the pool. We will probably stop into the Casino also. Do you think there will be a problem? I've never seen hotel staff question anyone as to whether they are a guest or not.

Wyndham sells a day pass from your cruise ship, but I've never heard of them asking a non-guest to leave. NBH beach is a public beach, so you won't have a problem there. Just walk thru the lobby and out the back door.

Do you think I can walk through the Wyndham's lobby straight through to the pool area onto the beach? We might make take a peek into the casino also.

Yeah.. I doubt they will bother you. People milling around everywhere at Wyndham, and casino is open to the public. If they don't let you use the pools.. big deal.. move to the NBH.

Keep in mind that ALL beaches are public property in the bahamas, so they may be able to keep you from thier pools, but not from the beaches. Bring your own towels.

Oh, so all the beaches are public? Even if they are behind a hotel? I didn't know that. Thanks. So as long as we make it to the beach, we should be ok. Yes, I will bring our own towels. I wouldn't try to take one from the hotel!!

Thank you.

Yes, all beaches are public, but of course, they could ask you NOT to use thier chaise lounges. Most people don't know it, so if they are asked to leave they do so. But armed with that knowledge, you can hang out at the waters edge anywhere in the bahamas. Getting there is the trick..

You shouldn't have any trouble at Wyndham or NBH. Enjoy.
