1. Re: anyone stay at lacollina?

I stayed there about one and a half years ago with a party of six.

Positives: Very nice villa on the inside, Ralph Lauren sheets and towels and comfortable beds. The upstairs master bedrooms were very large with a couch in each room that could open into a sleeper. Downstairs bedrooms offered real privacy and were well appointed. House was very nicely decorated, had a very "cared for" feel to it. Washer and dryer worked great, outdoor shower on the front porch was very useful when returning from the beach. Location provided easy and quick (about 7 minutes) access to Cruz Bay. Huge outdoor porch was well built, well covered (you could eat outside in the rain) and a great place to watch the sunset over St Thomas.

Negatives: Downstairs bedrooms have no view and can only be accessed by steps along the side of the house. Pool is very small and is more of a dip pool. View from the house was good but not incredible (compared to other properties).

Tip: Crank the airconditioners in the upstairs masters on high, turn on the standup fan, open the doors from the masters to the main floor and you can effectively cool the entire upstairs.

In Conclusion: I would consider renting this property again. For the price, this may be one of the best villa deals on the island.
