Bugs on St. John ,Noise at Maho Bay tentcottages |
|
Hi! I am pretty outdoorsy, but I have heard the no-seeums and mosquitos at the Maho Bay tent cottages are pretty hungry. Alos have heard that the compreeors run loudly all the time. Any help is appreciated. thanks. Report as inappropriate |

I've been to Maho twice (but not recently) and don't remember bugs being a big problem -- they certainly weren't as bad as in my backyard in the summer here in New England. There usually are a couple of little geckos in each tent that help by eating the mosquitos! As far as noise from building machinery, I think there are only a couple locations that could potentially have that issue -- those near the pavilion or store (parts of sections D and E). I stayed in section B each time, and the only noise problem came from nearby families. After about 8 pm it gets very quiet most nights. Report as inappropriate | ||||||
