You'll be fine. I have not been in the villa itself, but I know where it is. It is on the quieter side fo the island, near the intersection of North Shore and Centerline Roads. You'll be about 5 minutes from Coral Bay and its 3-4 restaurants and small grocery, and about 15 minutes from Cruz Bay with its myriad of shops and restaurants. The views you'll have will be spectacular. You likely won't get a sunset view, but the sunrise views on that side of the island are to die for. You'll also have a steady, gentle breeze up there.

Maho Bay is very nice. It's many peoples' favorite. I would lay money on the notion that you could leave your villa and coast down hill all the way there. Just beyond Maho lies Cinnamon Bay, Peter, Trunk, Hawksnest and all the others. You'll have a great time!

For a first-timer, you know how to pick ‘em. This house was on our short list but was just too pricy for two people (for us anyway). So I’ve never stayed there but the area is great, to my thinking. Maho Bay is on the eastern end of a stretch of fabulous beaches that are on all the postcards. Unbeatable views. WAY up high, so whatever breezes are around, you’ll get ‘em.

There’s a review of this house at virgin-islands-on-line.com. It’s a couple of years old, but you can search the boards for other references. I don’t think it’s air conditioned, so you might keep that in mind during certain times of the year. The listing agency is a reputable firm, and you can ask them what the age and current condition of the house is. That is, does it still look like the pictures? Does everything work? Houses age very rapidly in that climate. The best ones are refurbished on a regular basis.
