Congratulations, we just returned from St. John for our 1 year anniversary. Please check out Coral Rays at Destination St John. It was private, an amazing view, your own pool and jaccuzzi. Off season for 2 was only $1800.00. No construction as of last week!

I've been to this villa myself. As with many popular areas, St John has a fair amount of ongoing construction (the Villa itself was completed earlier this year). However, this villa is located in one of the most private locations on this island. It's on top of a mountain boarding National Parklands. There's currently some sporatic construction in the neighboorhood, however, the villa itself and the breeze coming off the mountain blocks any of the noise. Great location. We stayed here this past July for our 25th Anniversary and it is fabulous!!! Our whole family was there for a total of 9 people and we had plenty of room. The wraparound deck was great as was the deck downstairs by the pool. The view, unbelievable, since you are the 2nd villa from the top of the mountain. Every night there was a breeze and plenty of stars. The bedrooms were great too, plenty of room and you have a mini fridge in every bedroom. Two of the bedrooms have an outdoor shower which we liked, kind of different taking a shower under the stars. As for construction, I can't say that I remember any . It was rather peaceful up there on that mountain especially since you are surrounded by the National Park. I'm sure you won't be disappointed with this villa. We can't wait to go back!
