Are they open? What hours do they keep? I keep phone calling them with no answer. Are they reliable if I make a reservation? I want to kayak Coral Bay.

Not sure when they open but I think closing time is 5 or 5:30 p.m. And as far as I know, "they" is just one guy -- think his name is Doug. So if he has a customer, he won't be answering the phone.

Take a look at the Web site: http://crabbyswatersports.com/ You might try sending him and e-mail -- that's an option on the site.

Is he reliable? Yeah, seemed to be. We just rented some sand chairs one day and I talked to him for a few minutes. Nice guy -- very helpful.

Crabby's is great. I wouldn't worry about it. Leave a message, if he's still got his answering machine hooked up. If not, just stop by when you get there. He's got lots of boats, and he's a nice guy. If he's not going to be there for some reason during the day, he'll probably have a sign on the door. As with so much of St. John, you gotta just kind of go with it. Kayaking Coral Bay was one of the highlights of our recent trip down there. He'll outfit you and give you a map. Plan on at least four hours if you want to get to the good stuff and definitely take food and water. There is a grocery store and a deli/bakery in the same complex, so you can stock up.

No worries about Crabby's. I've used them for the past 3 years, no problems!
