There's a big condo complex going in near Gallows - I believe it's called Grande Bay? You can't miss it if you're walking/driving from Gallows into Cruz Bay. But the noise wasn't an issue when we stayed at Gallows last March, while construction was in full swing.

Chances are you'll be out exploring beaches during the day, so you won't be near the construction when it's at its peak. The only disruption we noticed was the occasional construction vehicle partially blocking the road into town . . . but once we got on island time, it was no bother. :)

forgot to mention that the construction isn't directly adjacent to Gallows, which probably helped on the noise front.

We stayed in September 06 while heavy construction was going on and we never heard it. I can't say the same tho, if you were staying at Lavender Hill (right on the side of it).
