Has anyone stayed at the Blazing Villas in St Thomas? We are going with our children and grandchildren in June.

I understand it is on the grounds at the Renaissance Grand Beach resort.

Thanks

Sallye

We've stayed at the hotel formerly known as the Renaissance, but did a lot of research on Blazing Villas. They are indeed on the grounds of the hotel. The property is gorgeous and the beach is one of the nicest in St. Thomas. The hotel (now owned by Palace Resorts) is closed down now and being completely remodeled. Normally guests of Blazing Villas can access the amenities of the hotel but I'm not sure what is open there now. By June, it may be fine.

The villas are located back on the hotel property. Be aware, they are not ON the beach but it's just a short walk. Actually, very few properties are ON the beach as most properties are located on hillsides. You also won't have any views of the water from where they are as they are all one-story but they are a great value if you just need a place to crash that's right near a beautiful beach. You are also walking distance from the Agave Terrace (fine dining) and Fungi's (casual dining) which are at Point Pleasant Resort next door. There is a dive shop on the beach (Chris Sawyer's) which normally caters to guests of the Grand Beach Palace, Point Pleasant and the villas but due to the closure of Grand Beach, I'm not sure if they are still open. A quick call will resolve that though.

These villas are also walking distance to Coki Beach (great snorkeling!) and Coral World Marine Park.

You can also check two other companies that own villas in the same location: Amazing Villas and Pineapple Villas.

Hope this helps!
