Can anyone advise the current ownership status for Chenay Bay Beach Resort? I saw there were some foreclosure problems and their website is now down. I really liked the place and do intend to return.

Nothing is changed as far as I know. Had relatives staying there a few weeks ago and they said it was ok.

Dear Mr. VonSptizer,

My name is Debi Gerson-Locke and I am the General Manager at Chenay Bay Beach Resort.

Our website is down due to technical problems, not because we are closed.

Today is December 30th and we are at an almost sold out status with a wedding on Monday for 90 guests, so we are running full speed ahead!

Thank you for the nice comment about enjoying your stay with us.

Debi you did not address the question about change in ownership or foreclosure, you only mention that you are open. What is the current status and how will this effect owners of the resort.

The property was sold but I have been retained to stay on as the General Manager.

I am looking forward to continue working here and to be a part of seeing Chenay Bay grow.

What owners specifically are you refering to?

We have some vacation ownership units and all curent owners in our club will continue to own their weeks.
