Buccaneer Beaches |
|
How are the beaches at Buccaneer ? |
|
There are three beaches. One is rarely used and a bit rough, but pretty to walk. The other two are nice, pretty views, lots of natural shade from palm trees. Snorkeling, however, is not very good and the water not as clear as on some other islands, but it is calm and the colors very pretty. The Buccaneer has been around a long time and still manages to live up to its quality though it is a bit dated (except for the newer doubloon rooms) in comparison to places elsewhere.

beaches are great | ||||||

Absolutely beautiful beaches on the Bucanneer! We went there to the beach this past spring for the first time and couldn't believe we hadn't been before. We especially liked the privacy of Shoys-- as you're going into the Buc either ask the guard to tell you, or just take the road to the right. The sand was so thick and white and the beach not too crowded. Just up the road is Tamarind Reef and I've read here several times that the snorkeling is great there, too. The Bucanneer was a beautiful place, have a great time!
