Festive family dinner?

Can someone recommend a fun place for dinner? Live music a PLUS. We are going to be celebrating my son's 10th birthday on the island in August. Thanks very much!!

Beachside Café - has music some nights. Breezez- no music. Duggan's - no music. The Galleon - occasional music. If you are looking for something more casual, try The New Deep End Bar and Restaurant - music some nights. RumRunners - no music.

The Palm's at Pelican Cove on Monday nights. They have live music, the Mocko Jumbies, and the fire dancers. They have a buffet that is pretty good that night also. Fun place, great show.

Rowdy Joe's is a fun place on Friday nights with live music.

Also, Eat at Cane bay has live music, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

I would also recommend The Palms on Monday night ... great entertainment and fairly good food on the buffet ... you might be better off and it would be less expensive to get to The Palms before 4 and order your food and then wait for the entertainment because the buffet is around $25/30 pp. and you don't have to order the buffet to see the entertainment.

I agree with the earlier suggestions but just wanted to add the Rumrunners has the added attraction of the tarpon (HUGE!) feeding off the dock from time to time. Kids your son's age always enjoy that.

We really enjoyed the entertainment aspect on our last trip in March. One night that jumps out is the Friday night Pirate buffet at the Carambola. The Children there seemed to really enjoy the music, Mocko Jumbies, and the fire dancers. Definitely a festive environment.

The buffet was wonderful.

No, stcroixtraveler, it never ends, just amusement and abuse.

But alas, to answer the OP with something that will appeal, try: https:/…137928226277491

Really inexpensive and he'll be involved and interested for a bit.

In addition to the crab races I think that as ccrsoner said, feeding the large tarpon at Rum Runners on the boardwalk is pretty amazing, for all ages.

The Mocko Jumbies are pretty cool as well as the fire dancers at various hotels on various nights and might hold his interest.

You didn't mention what he was interested in so it is hard to say. Maybe ask him to help plan. Does he know what steel pan music sounds like? Is he into biology? History?

Whatever restaurant you choose, just call ahead, once you get on island to let them know it is your son's birthday and I'm quite certain you can arrange for a special cake or something that will surprise him. The island entrepreneurs, most of them, would like a return visit or a positive post but for the most part, they are very accommodating for special occasions.

Happy Birthday to the lucky young man who will get to the coveted double digits on the island!

Thx for the ideas. He's very much into music, specifically percussion. Fire dancers, Crab races, And tarpon feeding all sound like great recommendations. TY!
