Any thoughts on which hotel/resort/inn boasts the best off-shore snorkeling? I am tired of charters...

......stay @ caneel on st.john.....seven beaches........and a dozen more down the road for snorkeling.

That's the beauty of St. John. Not only is the snorkeling excellent but the accessibility is extremely convenient.

We stayed at Secret Harbour Beach Resort on STT in April and had better snorkeling than when we were staying on STJ.

Sapphire on STT is always great for snorkeling! Everytime we go we see 2-3 sea turtles - my favorite! In June we saw a few stingrays, an eagle ray - wow! and a baracuda.
