What Food is allowed in from the United States by travelers?

Does anyone know what foods we are allowed to bring into Turks and Caicos. We are staying in a Condo and what I'm hearing about the Food products is outrageous. Thanks so much for your help.

You can pretty much bring just about any food into the Turks and Caicos. We always bring plastic jars of condiments, canned tuna, cereal, pickles, snack foods (especially triscuits as they are very expensive). I've even brought chesses and margarine in a carry-on (depenbding of course on howlong your flight might be). Some people even bring meat and vegetables in coolers they check on airplans. There is a customs declaration about what type of food products you are bringing in but the custom agents never hassle you about it. I also bring english muffins bagels, etc. Good luck. You'll love the island.
