visited this past July and sorry to say that the Turks and Cacios is not the place for shopping or activities other than the beach. The shopping consists of the Saltmills and Ports of call. She will like The Tourist Shoppe in Turtle Cove but she can do this all in a day.

We all leave the Island to go shopping!

There are tourist shops to get those t-shirts and things, Beautiful local artwork. Anna Bourne's art studio is in the Saltmills and there are a few others around. Beach glass jewelry and wicker baskets.

The only other thing that you might want to shop for is duty free jewelry, watches, perfume etc. (you might not want your wife to do that though!) They have a Royal Jewels shop at Beaches, but the main one is downtown.

You can do all the shops in one day!

There is a nice spa at Beaches. Does that interest her?

I hate the sun. My husband teases and says I should have been born a mole. But I love to snorkel and I love the water, so I have to put up with the sun. Go on those wonderful snorkeling adventures and get her hooked. Just load up on the sun screen and enjoy. The beaches will be great inspite of the sun.
