Help Palms/ Somerset/Beaches in September |
|
We are planning a trip to Provo for 10 days after the labor day. We are a family of 4 (including a 2 and a 3 year old). We were thinking of The Palms/Somerset for the entire trip or alternatively 1/2 the trip Palms/Somerset and the other half doing the beaches. I have few questions: I am very hesitant regarding the Beaches from multiple reviews I have seen here. (the quality of food, the cleanliness of the room and the pool,...) We are not big eaters or drinkers, but more of a gourmet diners. The only reason we were contemplating the Beaches were for the kids. I don't even know if they are even old enough to enjoy all the activities at the beaches. Both of them love the water and the sand. Is there enough at the Palms/Somerset to keep them entertained? (they are used to traveling and staying at 5star hotels). Also need help deciding between the Palms and Somerset. They both look like great resorts. We were thinking of staying at a luxury room at the palm or a studio at the Somerset. What are the differences between the resort: differences inside the room, property, service, food, activity . The Pool at the Palms appears more fun ( especially for the kids) . Which one is more kid friendly? I would appreciate any other tips or comments. Thanks ahead of time. |

With 2 kids, almost all the resorts will make you get at least a 1 bedroom catagory, 4 (even if 2 are kids) exceeds the maximum for studio/luxury rooms. Plus, with a 1 bedroom, you get a full kitchen, easier for snacks and drinks for the kids. They may be a little to little to enjoy activities at Beaches. Plus, if you like gourmet dinners, there are excellent restaurants around Somerset/Palms. Palms is more active, more chance of the little ones finding other little ones to play with. For what you are looking for, I think the Palms would suit you fine. | ||||||
